Returns & Refund Policy
At Battery Bill, we want you to receive the correct battery or product for your vehicle or application. Please read our return and refund policy below before purchasing.
Change of Mind Returns
We do not have to provide a refund or exchange if you simply change your mind, order the wrong product, or no longer require the item.
However, we may accept a change of mind return at our discretion if:

The product is unused and has not been fitted

The product is in its original condition and packaging

The product is returned within 14 days of purchase

Proof of purchase is provided

The product is not a special order, clearance item, electrical item, or custom-supplied product
Approved change of mind returns may be subject to a restocking fee. Any original freight, delivery, or call-out charges are non-refundable.
Incorrect Product Ordered
If you have ordered the wrong battery or product, please contact us as soon as possible. We may be able to exchange the item if it has not been used, fitted, damaged, or altered.
It is the customer’s responsibility to check the battery size, terminal layout, polarity, hold-down type, CCA rating, capacity, and application suitability before purchase. If you are unsure, please contact Battery Bill before ordering and we can help confirm the correct product.
Faulty Products
If a product is faulty, not of acceptable quality, not fit for purpose, or does not match its description, we will assess the product in line with our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
Depending on the fault and the circumstances, the remedy may include a repair, replacement, refund, or store credit.
Products must be returned to Battery Bill for testing and assessment before a warranty claim, replacement, or refund is approved. Testing may take up to 24 hours, depending on the product and fault.
Battery Warranty Assessment
Battery warranty claims are subject to testing. A battery will not automatically be replaced or refunded without assessment.
Warranty does not cover failure caused by:

Incorrect application or incorrect battery selection

Incorrect installation

Reverse polarity or incorrect jump-starting

Overcharging or undercharging

Faulty vehicle charging systems

Parasitic drain or vehicle electrical faults

Physical damage, impact, modification, or misuse

Sulphation caused by the battery being left discharged

Normal wear and tear
-
Use outside the manufacturer’s specifications
If testing confirms the product has failed due to a manufacturing fault within the warranty period, we will provide an appropriate remedy in line with the Consumer Guarantees Act and the applicable product warranty.
Special Order Products
Special order products are not returnable for change of mind or incorrect ordering unless the product is faulty or does not meet the guarantees required by law.
Freight and Return Costs
For change of mind or incorrectly ordered products, the customer is responsible for return freight or transport costs.
If the product is confirmed to be faulty or incorrectly supplied by Battery Bill, we will work with you to arrange a suitable remedy, which may include covering reasonable return freight costs.
Refunds
Approved refunds will be processed back to the original payment method where possible.
Refunds may take several business days to appear, depending on your bank or payment provider.
Original delivery, freight, fitting, diagnostic, or call-out charges are non-refundable unless required by law or agreed by Battery Bill.
Proof of Purchase
Proof of purchase is required for all returns, exchanges, refunds, and warranty claims. This may include an invoice, receipt, order confirmation, or other valid purchase record.
